Samantha received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in 2012. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan and Oregon. Samantha employs an eclectic approach with a strong reliance on cognitive-behavioral and behavioral strategies to treat and manage mental health disorders. She takes into account various factors that may impact the therapeutic relationship and best treatment approach, such as socioeconomic status, gender, cultural and religious considerations, when creating an individualized treatment approach. Samantha offers individual and family psychotherapy for children, teens and adults. She specializes in elementary aged children with a variety of mental health diagnosis; along with coordination of schools and other healthcare providers when necessary. She strongly encourage guardians to be involved in the therapy process. Samantha believes a collaborative approach between herself, the child, and guardian will ultimately achieve the best therapeutic success and progress. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating children and teens. Samantha has worked exclusively with children, teens, and their families for the past few years at a community mental health agency. In addition, she also worked closely with elementary schools to coordinate and manage care for children’s mental health needs.
